Truckee Homes

There are multiple housing communities within and around the Truckee area. The largest community is Tahoe Donner, which is up the mountain on your left as you enter Truckee from the West. This community is known for it’s housing diversity as well as it’s complete suite of amenities that make it a wonderful place to live and play. Ownership here is approximately 20-25% full time and 75-80%  part time owners.

The Prosser area has old and new developments. One of the oldest is Prosser Lakeview Estates – a favorite with locals. Surrounding this area are several new communities like Prosser Heights, Gray’s Crossing, Prosser Dam Road and other areas where potential homeowners can find Lake Views, Golf, Horse Friendly Acreage and so on.

Glenshire, on the Eastern side of Truckee is another favorite for locals. With a mix of large and smaller lots, buyers can choose between acreage and typical residential lots with a wide variety of home sizes and ages.

Then there are the newer golf and ski communities like Lahontan, Timilick, Martis Camp, Northstar, Grays Crossing, Old Greenwood, Meadows and so on. Give me a call if you want to get a local’s perspective on what is hot and what is not in the Truckee Area.
