Tahoe City

Tahoe City sits at the “Y” where highway 89 meets the Lake. An established community, Tahoe City is comprised of many different neighborhoods – Tahoe Pines, Dollar Hill, Lake Forest, The Highlands, just to name a few. Tahoe City offers fine restaurants, nightlife, shopping, a marina and many choices for world class skiing nearby. It can be a busy area, particularly in the summer months, as it is the connecting “hub” of the North Shore. Housing varies widely from small convenient condominiums all the way to Tahoe Estates on the lake.
Tahoe City proper is mostly a commercial area, with a residential section behind. Recently renovated, Tahoe City’s “Commons Beach” features lush grass, and weekly summer concerts as well as picnic benches and a playground for the kids. Throughout Tahoe City is shopping and dining, much of which allows georgous Lake Views.
