Squaw Valley is located 5 miles west of Tahoe City in Placer County and was the site of the 1960 Olympic Games. Squaw Valley is renowned for its world-class skiing, recreation and spectacular views. The valley is surrounded by majestic peaks that tower over 9,000 feet and offers beautiful summer destination spots golfing, horseback riding and mountain-biking. Intrawest’s Village at Squaw Valley offers high-end condominium properties at the base of the mountain and the Resort at Squaw Creek offers the areas’ largest conference facility and condo-hotel.
Squaw Valley, home of the 1960 Winter Olympic Games, is just 7 miles south of Truckee, off of Highway 89. This magnificent mountain offers some of the most sought-after ski terrain in the world, and it’s easy to see why! The 9,000 ft ski mountain is the largest in the North Lake Tahoe/ Truckee area. At the foot of the mountain sprawls the valley. Equestrian trails, hiking & biking trails, and the championship golf course are just a few of the ways you can relax in this majestic community
Another fantastic addition to Squaw is Intrawest’s Village at Squaw Valley. The Village offers a combination of luxury residential condominiums, a wide array of fantastic restaurants, and plenty of shopping. Truly bringing a “village” atmosphere to Squaw, the new Village brings that European feel to this part of California.
Squaw Creek is also located in Squaw Valley. Having just completed a $53 million resort-wide renovation, this AAA Four-Diamond resort has never been more magnificent. Our dramatic lobby, through its floor-to-ceiling windows, overlooks a cascading waterfall and the breathtaking Sierra Nevada Mountains. Our 405 luxurious resort rooms and suites, complete with resort-style kitchens, fireplaces and LCD flat-screen TVs, comfort guests in mountain home ambiance.
